Arsenal show interest in establishing a deal to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
Nicolas Pepe scored 22 goals in Ligue 1 last year and has been linked with Napoli and Manchester United. Surprisingly, Arsenal are now the front-runners to complete a deal.
At the beginning of his career, Pepe started out with French club Angers, and has risen to fame by joining Lille 2017.
Vinai Venkatesham, managing director, started at a supporter question and answer session on Thursday night, “a huge amount of misinformation out there.”
The club never revealed how much money is available to invest in new players. Three signings have made The Europa League finalists so far this summer.
18-year-old striker Gabriel Martinelli, joined earlier in the window before a season-long loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos was announced last week.
William Saliba from St Etienne signing was confirmed hours after Ceballos, but the France youth international will stay the next season back on loan at the Ligue 1 outfit.
