Netflix has released the first-ever trailer for ‘The Irishman’, and it is one of the biggest original films to date.

The movie stars Robert De Niro as a mob hitman, Frank Sheeran, and Al Pacino, what a combination!

This is a Charles Brandt’s 2004 book, ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ book to movie adaptation, and it has been a passion project for Scorsese. It shows the life of Sheeran, who is a World War II veteran turned mob hitman for the Bufalino crime family.

The trailer features Sheeran as he meets Jimmy Hoffa, the president of the Teamsters. A great effort was also put in making the movie stars look younger as it is set several decades back.

The film will premiere worldwide as the opening night selection at the 2019 New York Film Festival. This would be considered the second Netflix release after ‘Rolling Thunder Revue’ for Scorsese.

Unfortunately, there has been no official release date for when the movie will stream on Netflix, but we will keep our eyes peeled for that.
