Twitter, the company that provides real-time updates to users around the world about the thoughts of leading intellectuals like Jordan Peterson, Charlie Kirk, and the U.S. president, has added a new voice to their “virtual salon,” and football fans will be thrilled: O.J. Simpson is on Twitter!

After the tragic killing of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994, the legendary USC running back, Naked Gun star, and Hertz spokesman joined the social media network almost 25 years after the tragic event.

Although a suspect was tried for the murder, he was ultimately acquitted, and Simpson’s 25-year quest to “pursue the killer or killers who slaughtered Nicole and Mr. Goldman” as his primary goal in life has sadly not yet produced any suspects.

It was likely irrational to expect that O.J. would have sufficient time to resolve the situation while he was struggling with legal problems, making a cross-country step, writing a book, fighting legal problems, featuring in an outstanding documentary, receiving prestigious award for television and more.

But now that things have settled down, he’s joined social media, and we can presumably expect a break in the case soon. Simpson decided to sign up for Twitter because, as he explained in a completely unalarming way, he’s got “a little gettin’ even to do.” Here’s his first tweet:
