An out of this world picture has been snapped of a volcano erupting as a meteor shoots over the Milky Way overhead. It was taken by Diego Rizzo in Guatemala.
To take the picture, Diego Rizzo traveled to Acatenango which is considered Fuego’s twin. In a single 25-second exposure picture, most of the sky and land were captured together. In fact, the meteor was firstly captured and the volcanic eruption was added digitally and was captured thirty minutes later.
Volcan de Fuego is featured in the image, also known as “The Volcano of Fire” in Guatemala. Meanwhile, the central plane of the Milky Way is seen within the skies on top of, with a meteor just under and the path of a satellite to the right.
NASA explained that “The planet Jupiter also appears toward the upper left, with the bright star Antares just to its right.”
